Reporting and Transitions

NCCA has a variety of reporting and transitions supports for primary schools. These include report card templates, the report card creator tool, information for parents and the education passport materials which support the transfer of children's information to post-primary school. Publication of the redeveloped Primary School Curriculum

The Minister for Education and Youth Helen McEntee today published the redeveloped Primary School Curriculum for all primary and special schools. The curriculum includes the Primary Curriculum Framework and specifications for five curriculum areas and will be introduced to all primary and special schools in the coming years.

Early Childhood

Aistear is the early childhood curriculum framework for all children from birth to 6 years in Ireland.
Primary

The Irish primary education system aims to provide a holistic education to enable children to live their lives to the full and to realise their potential as unique individuals.
Junior Cycle

The Framework for Junior Cycle provides the basis for post-primary schools to plan quality, inclusive and relevant education programmes with improved learning experiences for all students, including those with special educational needs.
Senior Cycle

Senior cycle education is the period of education that follows the junior cycle and is generally taken by students between the ages of 15 and 18.
